About Bay District Schools

Friday, December 18, 2026, is a full school day for all students, even though it is also the end of the first semester and a high school testing day. Christmas holidays are scheduled to begin December 21, but that Monday may be used as a Storm Day if needed. Teachers have a records workday January 4, and students return Tuesday, January 5, 2027.

Six dates on the 2026-2027 calendar may be used for storm make-up classes. Four are teacher PLC planning days: September 30 and October 28, 2026, and February 3 and April 14, 2027. The other two are Fall Break on October 9 and the first planned Christmas holiday on December 21. Students are scheduled to be off unless the district announces a change. Thanksgiving holidays are November 23-27, and spring holidays are March 15-19. Students return from spring break March 22, with Good Friday falling separately on March 26.

The final two school days have different dismissal rules. May 25, 2027, is an early-release day for high school students only. May 26 is the last day of school, with early release for all students. The district calendar does not list dismissal times, so families should check with their schools.

Final report cards are scheduled to appear in the Parent Portal on June 9.
